Sweater Wheels!

My dear Mum taught me how to knit when I was 6 yrs. old.  It was a rainy day & I was bored & I guess I was making her nuts.  So, she did what any knitting Mama would do, she grabbed some old fashioned wooden knitting needles & some Red Heart Variegated yarn.

I remember it like it was yesterday.  My Mum all kinds of neat knitting things.  She had some of those cardboard Sweater Wheels from the 1960's.

She made a lot of original sweaters using this wheel.  This was the Set In Sleeve Sweater Wheel.  I inherited it when she passed, but I've never put it to use, mainly because I don't like sewing sweaters together.  So, I've been on the look out for the other Sweater Wheel; the Raglan Sweater Wheel.  They don't made them anymore.  I've been looking on Ebay & finding the Set In Sleeve Sweater Wheel for $50-$99!

I just happened to mention to my hubby about the Sweater Wheel & I told him that I quit looking on Ebay, because the price was too steep.  Well, wouldn't you know....he just happened to look on Ebay & found the Raglan Sleeve one for $12!  I grabbed that baby up in a hurry!  Ebay is my friend!  Not to mention that I have the most awesome husband.

In the original package.  (When Zipper bags were coming in.)

Great Ebay find!

Both wheels.
