Happy New's Years Eve!
I had eye surgery a couple of months ago. I had a detached retina repaired in my right eye and I had holes in my left repaired. It's been a rough go, but I'm on the mend. More than anything, I wanted to still be able to see my family, esp.; the grand kids and...I still wanted to still be able to knit. After all, I've been knitting over 50 years, almost all of my life and I want to continue to do so.
Knitting has been such a stress reliever for me and as soon as I was allowed to keep my head up in an upright position.......I grabbed my knitting needles.
We've had a growth spurt at our little church...a couple of baby boys have been born in the last few weeks. I was looking for a quick & easy knit & something that wouldn't put a strain on my eyes, so I've been knitting baby caps.
This is my go-to-pattern: http://thriftyknitter.com/?p=77 FREE KNIT PATTERN: Baby Watchcap
The pattern is easy & fun. The pattern says approx. 2 hrs. to knit, but it takes me about 4 to 5 hrs. to knit a baby hat.
Here's to Good-bye to 2016 & to a better, happier & healthier 2017.
