Motorcycle Baby Bib

As promised, a baby item.  I made this motorcycle baby bib for a grandson that's due in Jan.

Motorcycle with seed stitch border.

The true blue color.

Motorcycle - Close-Up.
The motorcycle bib pattern was designed by  Lisa & Alli of Kwits Heaven.

I used a DK weight cotton that called for size (US) 4 needles, but I used size (US) 2, so that the bib would be dense and the design of the motorcycle would be more defined.

I also modified the pattern a bit, but kept true to the original design of the motorcycle.  I wanted a buttonhole neckline instead of ties that are either i-Cord or crocheted.

I can't wait to gift this to my son and his wife for their new baby.  My son and his wife's brothers are motorcycle enthusiasts.

A big shout out to Lisa & Alli!  This was exactly what I had in mind for a motorcycle bib and thanks for helping me out so quickly and being so patient with me and all of my questions.

Be sure to visit their web site http://www.knitwits-heaven.com for some really beautiful and unique patterns.

Photos of the Shawls for Little Girl

A while back a friend from church had asked me to knit a shawl for her young daughter.  The young lady wanted a shawl, but couldn't find one that fit properly.  So, I set about looking for a pattern and the right cotton yarn.

I posted about the Wave Shawl here:  http://luvsknitting.blogspot.com/2015/04/wave-shawl-for-little-girl.html

And, here's the beautiful young lady wearing the shawls.  I made 2 types of shawls, The Wave  is a triangle shaped shawl.

The other shawl, Little Leaves Lace Wrap,  is rectangular in shape like a scarf.

I love how these knitted up and this little lady looks so chic and ready for any occasion.

Next Up:  Baby items, of course.
