Baby Blue Sweater for Grandson

About 2 months ago, we were blessed with another grandchild.  I finally finished the sweater that I had started for him a while back.  I was waiting until I had time for a trip to Michael's Arts & Crafts to get the buttons for it.

I used Bernat's Softee yarn in Baby Denim Marl.  It took a little less than one 4-oz. skein, and I used size 6 needles.

The top portion of the sweater is  Seamless Yoked Baby Sweater by Carole Bareny and the body of the sweater and the sleeves and the button-band were from this pattern:  Free Knitting Pattern: Feather And Fan Baby Sweater by Lion Brand Yarns.  I knitted the sweater in stockinette and not Feather and Fan.
I knitted the sleeves the way the pattern says in the Fan and Feather, because I didn't have to pick up sts and knit them in the round, but the sleeves were knitted simultaneously with the body of the sweater.  I had to seam the sleeves when I finished with sweater.

I'm real pleased with the finished sweater and I can't wait to see my grandson it in.
