Peanut Butter and Chocolate Afghan

The kitchen is still under construction as is the bathroom, so, no photos yet.  But, I do have some new knitting content to show.

My son will getting married this Aug., so I've decided to knit an afghan for him and my future DIL.  It took me quite a while to decide on a pattern and the right yarn and colors.  I discovered that they favor brown for their living room.

As you know, one of my favorite afghan patterns is the fan and feather pattern.  I also like the Ripple afghan pattern a lot.

I decided on the Mocha Ripple afghan pattern from the  The Little Box of Knitted Throws by Martingale & Company.  I selected Impeccable Yarn for Michael's Arts and Crafts in "Heather" and "Chocolate".

The colors remind me of Peanut Butter and Chocolate.  Super easy and fun.  By the way, this is my new kitchen counter-top and I love it a lot!

I have a real special friend who gifted me with a new mouse pad.

These are photographs of her own drawings and paintings.  She's so talented!  I love my new mouse pad.

The afghan....what a special gift that will be as it is truly beautiful.

Love the countertop. That would have been one of my color choices.

The mousepad is gorgeous. Another talented person amongst us!!!

You can't go wrong with a ripple, and you can't go wrong with classic tan and brown. I would never have thought of peanut butter though. Gotta tuck that away in my memory banks...as you know, I'm always naming afghans and sometimes have a hard coming up with a name. Countertop looks great. Rehab is hard to get through, but everything will look so nice afterwards. Keep us possted.
