Memorial Day & Some Dishcloths

I'm still playing "getting caught up" with my blog. It's been super busy around here lately.

I like to grill....a lot. Well, after about 5 or 6 years of steady use, our ol' grill rusted out to the point where it was unsafe to use. So, on Memorial Day, Hubby went out with friends and came home with Big Red.

I'm still learning my way around this thing, but I like it! It grills a lot differently than other grills that I've used. This one uses Infrared to heat. My oldest DD's boyfriend assembled this thing in about 35-mins. in the pouring rain. That man must have been hungry! We had delicious hamburgers about 8'oclock at night, but they were worth it.

Keeping with the Memorial Day theme, I took a small break from knitting socks and knitted up this dishcloth in my favorite pattern. (Eloomanator’s Diagonal Knit Dishcloth in Early American Ombre)

I also knitted up this Baby Fern Stitch Dishcloth in Cool Breeze Ombre.

In my other posting I showed you photos of deer, groundhogs & wild turkeys in my backyard. I don't live in the city and I don't live in the country either, but this critter was in my neighbor's backyard last week.

Some of you may recall that I often refer to the euphoria that I experience when I get new knitting needles and yarn to like the experience that I had as a kid whenever I got a brand new box of crayons. Well, I think that my youngest daughter may have inherited that same gene. She came home with these the other day....she HAD to have them. get back to knitting socks while watching the new episode of Lie To Me tonight.
