Feather and Fan Baby Sweater Set

I finished the Feather and Fan baby sweater last week. I liked it so much that I wanted to make a matching cap and booties to go with it.

Down Cloverlaine's blog was my inspiration for both the sweater and the cap.

I searched and searched the Net for the ideal feather and fan baby bootie pattern, but I couldn't find what I was looking for, then, I had a brain storm! Use my sock knitting software to create my own pattern!

I continued to use the baby sport yarn and I used size 6 DPNs and a CO of 24 sts as per the generated pattern from the software. I carried the same 4 rows of the pattern from the sweater for the booties.

Now, all I have to do is find the right buttons for the sweater. Anyone know where I can find buttons for a baby garment?

Deb, so very special. You make me want to knit one like it. I think pearl pin buttons would be precious. This way the eye would focus on the beautiful pattern of the sweater and still add a little extra elegance.
