Knitting In Waiting Rooms

Well, I had a follow up with the foot surgeon today, which usually means a 2-3 hr. wait. Today, I waited about 45 mins. I took a baby cardigan and a hat with me to knit. I opted to knit the hat, because it was just straight knitting all in the round. That ended up being the better choice, because as soon as I took it out of my knitting bag, all kinds of conversations started. There were 2 husbands there waiting for their wives.

First man: "What is that? Crochet?"

Second man: "Nah...that's knitting. My wife does that all day long."

First man: "That would make me crazy.....dealing with 2 little sticks and some yarn...."

Second man: "Yep, I know what you mean. I think that's what keeps her sane."

I just smiled. My hubby just smiled, and I kept on knitting.

Here's to knitting and all the men that love us. Oh foot is good. I'm all cleared. I don't have to go back anymore unless I have a problem.

Too funny! The comment about the small sticks and yarn...I bet those men spend hours untangling fishing lines which could drive me crazy!
