A New Decoration for Christmas

We started decorating a little bit for Christmas. We have a modest home. No fireplace nor mantle, but we do have an entertainment center that I'm reluctant to part with. One of these days....we will probably have to get one of those flat-screen TVs that are rectangular in shape and they just won't fit on the current piece of furniture.

Our entertainment center also serves as a place to display some of our Christmas decorations. Last year, hubby & the kids got me Graceland, which plays several Christmas songs sung by Elvis.

This past Oct., my hubby and my Mom went on an outing in search of some yarn for a project that my mom was working on. Of course, we ended up at Michael's Arts & Crafts. It was Oct., and they already had their Christmas displays up, so we took a look around and this is what we found...

Here's a close up of 3 women inside the Three Bags Full Yarn Shoppe....

There were 3 of these in the store, one was on display and there were 2 in the box. My mom got one and I got the other. I've been anxiously waiting until it got closer to Christmas, so that I share this on my blog! Hubby just smiled that day at Michael's and he said, "I guess we're done shopping now, we can go home." The kids didn't even know about this decoration. They just smiled and laughed.

Knitting update coming soon.

Yeah, I remember that you got Graceland last year and were so excited.

Do you think that Joansie is teaching one of those knitting classes?

Love the new look of your blog, great colors and your banner is awesome.

I can't believe you found a yarn shop to display, that's beyond awesome.

Like you, I hate the new big ugly tv's. We too have an entertainment center. It's a pretty piece of furniture I saved to buy and was sooooooooo excited when we got it; I don't want to part with it for an ugly tv, besides I don't watch enough tv that I want to spend that kind of money on a plasma whatever.
