3 Pairs At A Time?

I'm fairly new at this sock-knitting stuff. I'm still trying to get a foot-hold ;-) of all the different styles and ways out there of doing socks. I prefer to knit my socks from the cuff down on 2-Cirs, although, I've toyed around with toe-up versions and double-points and the Magic Loop method.

I still only knit 1 sock at a time....that's all my brain can seem to handle at the moment. I've heard about others that knit 2 socks at a time, BUT...check this out.....3 Pairs-At-A-Time. Not 3 socks, but 3 Pairs of socks! This is what my
360° friend, Anointingoil is doing! All I can say is "Wow!"

No Cat Sock

I gave up trying to figure out the Cat Bordhi's cat sock.
.

I knit for pleasure and for a bit of a challenge, but I don't knit for torture. My youngest DD saw that I had tried this pattern 3 times & wasn't disappointed that I had thrown in the knitting needles on this one.

I have since moved on to knitting the Blueberry Waffle Sock that my friend, Joansie (Knitting By The Ocean) has blogged about. I'm using the Berrocco Comfort Sock yarn I had purchased over the summer.

I would show you a photo of my progress, but I haven't gotten all that much done yet. My DD has already given a good name for these socks which will be posted later.

The Blueberry Waffle Socks are fun & easy & easily adaptable to various type of yarns & different needles.

19 Years Ago Today

19 years ago today....my dear, beloved dad passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. Lots & lots of happy & wonderful memories! I'd like to think that this is where I get my sense of humor & quick wit & my sense of fairness.

He loved to tease my mom & I when we were knitting in the living room together. If either us complained or remarked about "dropping a stitch". My dad would grab his eye glasses & with all earnest start searching all through the carpet looking for the said dropped stitch, then he would laugh at us & at himself...for this little kidding around. This routine never got old. My mom & I miss these times.

My dad was also big on one's right as an American to vote. So....to pay honor to his memory........I'm voting tomorrow.

Love You Forever Daddy!
